Automating low-capacity restaurants with Tillypad XL has never been easier. This week we finished testing our program’s compatibility with the ultra-high-performance HP ElitePad 1000 G2 tablet. The sleek, elegant HP tablet has a fast 4-core Intel Atom processor and 4 GB of RAM and can simultaneously do the work of three devices: the POS terminal, the server and the manager's workstation. The tablet stores all your restaurant’s data, allows waiters to send orders to the kitchen without leaving their tables and gives users easy access to accounting and management reports. In addition, the ElitePad 1000 G2 can not only operate as an independent, standalone computer — it can also be used as an energy-independent till. This one-stop solution will be particularly useful for mobile trade and catering venues, shopping mall kiosks, takeaway venues and small cafes where every square foot counts and mobility plays a huge role.To complete the restaurant automation, an SQL server and Tillypad XL (the segment database) are installed onto the tablet via USB; a router is also connected to the tablet. The order ticket printer and receipt printer are connected wirelessly or via a USB adapter. Fiscal registers can use Bluetooth to connect to the tablet.Cut costs on the purchasing and maintenance of bulky equipment, free up more space, and work with the powerful ultra-high-performance HP ElitePad 1000 G2.
