Tillypad, a long-term partner of Hewlett Packard, has tested the new HP Slate 2 tablet for operation with the Tillypad XL hospitality management system.
The main advantage of this tablet PC is that it comes with a fully functional Windows 7 Professional operating system. This enables it to be used not only as a POS terminal, but also as a manager workstation. Test results showed that Tillypad XL runs quickly on the tablet.
Despite having very serious innards, the device weighs in at a mere 690g. The ribbed surface of the HP Slate 2 makes it easy and comfortable to hold. The touchscreen display allows you to enter information using your fingers or with a digital pen.
The HP Slate 2 comes with a light dock station which has various ports of different types, including USB. You can place the tablet on any surface and connect a keyboard, mouse, microphone and other peripherals to set up a fully-functional manager workstation in any empty corner.
“We are pleased to recommend the new HP Slate 2 tablet computer for use with Tillypad XL. The genuine Windows 7 Professional operating system allows the gadget to be used as a fully-functional restaurant manager workstation.
Speed, light weight, good looks and convenient accessories put it on a level with the best of today’s tablet PCs,” commented Ludmila Alyamovskaya, commercial director of Tillypad.
