Yet another large site in Turkmenistan, the entertainment complex called GALA with restaurants and an outdoor waterpark, has been automated by Tillypad. The opening ceremony of GALA took place on 28 June, 2017 and was honoured with the presence of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
Located in a scenic ravine, GALA blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape of the Kopet Dagh, the mountain range on the frontier between Turkmenistan and Iran. Inspired by the historical and cultural legacy of the Central Asia, the architects of the project designed the building in the medieval style: it resembles an ancient citadel surrounded by the defensive wall from the three sides.
The whole complex takes up the area of over seven acres. It offers various recreations to the visitors, young and old: several types of restaurants (a seafood restaurant, a steakhouse, and restaurants with Oriental and Turkish cuisine), a swimming pool with slides and hot tubs, and beautiful grounds with Eastern-style gazebos and pavilions. The foremost attraction is the grand banquet hall with sliding glass walls and ceiling, ideally suited for special events, weddings and ceremonies. You will be impressed even more as soon as you step out to the terrace adjacent to the hall: panoramic views over the mountains with starry skies above are truly breathtaking.
If you opt for less formal dining there is a bar with street food right next to the swimming pool.
Thanks to Tillypad, all the restaurants of the entertainment centre are connected. This offers more possibilities and convenience for the staff and customers alike. For instance, if you wish, you can order a steak at the seafood restaurant, or a kebab at the steakhouse.
Akmurad Annageldyev, Tillypad's partner in Turkmenistan, CEO of iFOS Company: 'We had only two days to configure the program, but we managed it without a great deal of difficulty with the help from Tillypad's specialists. The program is scalable and allows for centralised configuration, so we have coped with this task successfully. All the POS terminals were connected to one server. For the outdoor workstations, we installed robust water-resistant NCR RealPOS 25.'
Especially for GALA, Tillypad's implementation and support department created new sales reports with the 'Service charges' section so that each member of the waiting staff could check the amount of the gratuity earned at the end of the shift and receive it from the manager.
In the near future, GALA plans to implement loyalty cards and start using handheld tablets in the open-air dining areas.
