SoftAlliance and Tillypad have opened a demo centre in Moscow to demonstrate the capabilities of the Tillypad XL restaurant EPoS system. The opening was timed to coincide with the third anniversary of the founding of SoftAlliance, a systems integrator and supplier of solutions based on Tillypad XL.
The demo centre was opened in the Russian Bartenders Association Training Centre. This association, which combines bartenders and waiting staff, was founded in 1992. Today the association plays an active role in the HoReCa scene, provides training and contests on barman skills and trains personnel for restaurants and bars. The association occupies up a four-story building with classrooms for barmen, waiters and barista. It has a museum of alcohol and on the first floor there is Fishka-BAR.
The building is equipped with a video surveillance system integrated with Tillypad XL. One of the cameras is pointed at the training terminal in the classroom and another at the working bar stand on the first floor. Thanks to this, customers have an opportunity to observe (in the demo centre or via the Tillypad XL interface) a real working bar to simulate staff misdemeanours and, respectively, to study various functions of the TillyVision mechanism which is an integral part of Tillypad XL.
In order for students to fully appreciate the advantages of the Tillypad XL restaurant EPoS system, a 42” LCD television and mobile POS terminals with Tillypad XL for iOS pre-installed on Apple iPads are installed in the demo hall. There are thermal printers, fiscal registers and other peripherals without which it is impossible to operate a contemporary restaurant.
The equipment installed enables detailed examination of the functions and capabilities of the Tillypad XL restaurant EPoS system in practice from the position of waiter, bartender and administrator. The Bartenders Association runs courses in these disciplines and SoftAlliance provides training on the Tillypad XL restaurant EPoS system.
