Moscow hosted the fourteenth PIR 2011 food festival, one of the most significant events for the Russian catering and hospitality industry. This annual festival gathers restaurateurs, head chefs, hoteliers, suppliers, investors and everyone with an interest in the HoReCa scene.
This year's PIR had a higher attendance than usual, with more than 850 companies from almost 30 countries. The organisers note that the number of visitors also increased. The 45,000 square metres of exhibition floor space was occupied by a multitude of stands, various themed forums, congresses, culinary competitions and the traditional all-Russian meeting of head chefs of Russia.
Tillypad's participation in PIR has also become a tradition. At the event, the company presented innovative solutions implemented in the Tillypad XL restaurant EPoS system. The opportunity to get acquainted with the new and unique capabilities of the system and with examples of automated network concepts attracted increased interest from visitors to the stand.
Company representatives announced important news about the launch of an application for working with Tillypad XL on the iPod touch, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPad. The official Tillypad XL application is already available to download for free from the App Store. Link for download http://itunes.apple.com/ru/app/tillypad-pos/id471232909?mt=8
Company specialists also announced the total compatibility of Tillypad XL with HP devices for catering and retail, which unlocks unbounded opportunities for clients of the company who value the best software and quality computers.
PIR turned out to be luxurious indeed in terms of the quantity of innovations and the quantity of participants, thematic meetings and new projects. PIR also played host to the first international Moscow Bar Show exhibition, a new exhibition project for professionals in the bar business.
The organisers consider one of the most important achievements of the exhibition to be the dialogue between the restaurant business community and the Moscow authorities, which took place during the first city forum "Moscow is hospitable".
For Tillypad, the exhibition was interesting and filled with discussion with visitors, new partners, old users and potential customers. Over the four days of the event, the Tillypad stand attracted a multitude of visitors from Russia, Europe and the CIS.
